Summer Anime
Summer Anime 2017 Recommendation
3rd quarter year, as the year ends, life is getting busier each month but that doesn't stop Vi-Geeky to keep on fangirling. Here are my top picks this Summer 2017, anime aired June to August. I'm also following some left-overs from last season. This list might be few but I'm always open to suggestion.
1. Aho Girl / アホガール
Genre: Comedy, Romance, School, Shounen
Summary: Yoshiko is a genuinely stupid girl (she can even manage to get all 0's on multiple choice tests). She hangs out at school with her childhood friend, who she claims to like, and he has to put up with all her ridiculous behavior!

Review/Thoughts: Yoshiko is my stress-reliever during this season. If you just want all the laughs in the world, this series is a treasure.
2. Ballroom e Youkoso / ボールルームへようこそ
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance, School, Shounen, Sports
Summary: Feckless high school student Tatara Fujita wants to be good at something - anything. Unfortunately, he's about as average as a slouchy teen can be. The local bullies know this, and make it a habit to hit him up for cash, but all that changes when the debonair Kaname Sengoku sends them packing. Sengoku's not the neighborhood watch, though. He's a professional ballroom dancer. And once Tatara Fujita gets pulled into the world of the ballroom, his life will never be the same.

Review/Thoughts: What excites me with this dance sports anime is the music, it's all imagination while reading the manga. Songs in my mind were the one we practiced in college for PE class (compulsory, I don't dance. Haha) Lady in Red, quick, quick, slow... / So the anime is definitely a must watch!
3. Hajimete no Gal / はじめてのギャル
Genre: Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, School, Shounen
Summary: Spring. The “season of love” has arrived and it seems that finding himself a girlfriend was harder than Junichi believed. To break the status quo, Junichi’s friends have forced him into confessing to the gyaru, Yame Yukana. However, things do not go quite as he expected. A series of "firsts" begins!

Review/Thoughts: If I'm still in high school, this series will be the favorite of my male classmates. It's fun while it lasted.
4. Koi to Uso / 恋と嘘
Genre: Drama, Romance, School
Summary: Lies are forbidden and love is doubly forbidden. In the near future, when young people in Japan turn sixteen, they are assigned a marriage partner by the government. People don't have to go through the trouble of looking for someone, and everyone accepts that the country will find a compatible partner to make them happy. Yukari Nejima is fifteen years old. He lives in a small corner of the country, and just can't seem to get ahead in life. Both academically and athletically he's below average. But within him, he hides a heart burning with passion! In this world in which love is forbidden, what will happen to him when he falls in love?

Review/Thoughts: The plot is awesome, but the series keeps getting twisted by episode but I still decided to finish it all and follow the manga because, heck, I'm still curious how it will end.
5. Konbini Kareshi / コンビニカレシ
Genre: Slice of Life, Romance
Summary: Spring. The season of beginnings.
Mishima Haruki and his friend Honda Towa begin attending Aokisora High School. While they each have a girl they're interested in, there are no signs of a relationship starting for either of them. As they awkwardly make it through each day, they meet their classmate Sasaki Nagisa and their seniors Asumi Natsu, Nakajima Mikado, Sakurakoji Masamune and others, and their thoughts and feelings begin to intertwine. It's the road everyone follows at least once, the story of a pure love racing through the moment.
The same old train.
The same old road to school.
The same old convenience store.
These static sights may, starting tomorrow, look a little bit different.

Review/Thoughts: I'm glad it was not a harem anime. More like Nijiri Days but with different
plots and circumstances.
6. Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita. / スカートの中はケダモノでした。
Genre: Drama, Ecchi, Romance
Summary: Kominami Shizuka is a mild-mannered college student who is having trouble adjusting to city life. One day, she meets Kirishima Ryou, another student who projects the image of a cool older sister. The two hit it off, but Shizuka is shocked when Ryou attempts to seduce her. Shizuka initially assumes that Ryou is a lesbian, but Ryou is in fact a man who dresses like a lady.

Review/Thoughts: WARNING! SMUT WARNING! LOVE SCENES IS FREAKING STEAMY.
HAHA. Though it a short-form type, it was still fun to wait for the episode every week.
7. Tsuredure Children / 徒然チルドレン
Genre: Comdey, Romance, School, Shounen
Summary: To those of you out there who never could say "I love you"— This story is about ordinary highschoolers and how love makes them fired up, shaken, laugh, cry, and hurt. Whether things go well or not, this story of adolescence and romance will show you how they spend their precious youth. Every character is the main character here, and you're sure to find one you can sympathize with. Tsuredure Children's TV anime begins airing Summer 2017! Let's get our hearts racing together!

Review/Thought: My top favorite this season. This series makes me think about my high school days and regret some things I did not do. I can't decide who is my favorite ship because every couple is adorable. I also love the manga. I don't read 4-koma that much but because of Aho Girl and Tsuredure Children, I now appreciate 4-komas. Such precious children with this series!
8. Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou / 妖怪アパートの幽雅な日常
Genre: Mystery, Slice of Life, Supernatural
Summary: Yushi Inaba is forced into an awkward living situation at his uncle's house after his parents pass away. He decides that when he goes to high school, he's going to live on his own, and finds an ultra-cheap apartment named Kotobuki-so. But it was a monster apartment, filled with monsters, humans, and ghosts! At first, Yuki doesn't know how to deal with these eerie monsters, but after spending time with these strange creatures his closed heart gradually begins to open...

Review/Thoughts: I love every episode, I cried, I laugh. Reminds me of Natsume Yuujinchou
but with more hilarious lines.
